Livro criado para a conclusão do curso de Bacharelado em Design, a fim de comunicar a importância da tipografia vernacular do tecnobrega como parte das expressões culturais do Pará.
O livro Batidas Tipógraficas - O Alfabeto Vibrante do Tecnobrega surgiu com o objetivo principal de trazer à tona a riqueza estética e simbólica da tipografia vernacular do tecnobrega, como forma de promover maior pluralidade para a cultura paraense e contribuir com a melhor e maior visualização artística sobre.

The book Batidas Tipógraficas - O Alfabeto Vibrante do Tecnobrega arose from the main objective of bring to light the aesthetic and symbolic richness of vernacular typography of tecnobrega, as a way of promoting greater plurality for Pará culture and contributing to the best and largest artistic visualization about.
O Tecnobrega é uma versão 100% eletrônica do brega tradicional, que se expandiu da periferia de Belém para o restante do Brasil, sendo as aparelhagens um conjunto de equipamentos de alta potência sonora usado para executar a música e promover as festas. Além disso, outros elementos apareceram para compor o que seria a reinvenção da identidade bregueira, que viriam a ser elementos de empoderamento social das populações da periferia frente ao que é imposto por classes mais altas.

Tecnobrega is a 100% electronic version of the traditional brega, which expanded from the outskirts of Belém to the rest of Brazil, with the "aparelhagens" being a set of high-power sound equipment, equipped with cutting-edge technology, used to perform the music and promote tacky parties. Furthermore, other elements appeared to compose what would be the reinvention of the bregueira identity, such as the presence of large screens, electronic signs and large lighting structures, which would become elements of social empowerment for peripheral populations in the face of what is imposed by higher classes.
TIPOGRAFIA VERNACULAR / VERNACULAR TYPOGRAPHY
Como um dos principais meios de propaganda das festas de aparelhagem, encontram-se as suas faixas de divulgação, seu conteúdo é feito a mão e para chamar a atenção das pessoas, usa-se de um desenho de letras explorando elementos tipográficos com variadas cores e formas criativas.
Esse estilo se enquadra no que chamamos de Tipografia Vernacular, que se refere à expressão gráfica de criação de letras e demais caracteres manualmente por cidadãos os quais não possuem conhecimento acadêmico do design, carregando consigo conhecimento construído conforme sua vivência cultural.

One of the main means of advertising the sound system parties are their promotional banners, its content is handmade and to attract people's attention, it uses a letter design exploring typographic elements with different colors and creative shapes.
This style fits into what we call Vernacular Typography, which refers to the graphic expression of creating letters and other characters manually by citizens who do not have academic knowledge of design, carrying with them knowledge constructed according to their cultural experience.

CAPA DO LIVRO / BOOK COVER
A ilustração da capa foi criada pelo Francisco Alves, conhecido também como Totó, profissional de faixas de aparelhagem, para transmitir fielmente os letreiros vernaculares que são mostrados ao longo do livro. Assim, a arte foi criada manualmente pelo pintor conforme o título do livro, em uma faixa de ráfia de aproximadamente 1x1m, com tinta acrílica.

The cover illustration was created by Francisco Alves, also known as "Totó", a banner professional, to faithfully convey the vernacular signs that are shown throughout the book. Thus, the art was created manually by the painter according to the title of the book, on a strip of raffia measuring approximately 1x1m, with acrylic paint.

Este livro foi composto nas fontes Los Feliz e Pétala Pro, impresso em papel Offset 90g/m, como protótipo do Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso intitulado Batidas Tipográficas: O Vernacular na Comunicação Visual do Tecnobrega, para a Universidade do Estado do Pará - UEPa.
